Sancti Spíritus, 14 oct (AIN) Los Cinco héroes cubanos prisioneros injustamente en Estados Unidos fueron acreedores hoy, en esta ciudad, del Sello 25 aniversario de la Asociación Hermanos Saíz (AHS).
La organización de la vanguardia artística en la provincia de Sancti Spíritus otorgó la distinción a Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González, Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino y René González, quien pese a su excarcelación sufre ahora la condena de permanecer bajo libertad supervisada en la norteña nación.
Durante la entrega del reconocimiento a otras 34 personalidades, grupos e instituciones espirituanas, Liudmila Quincoses, presidenta de la AHS en el territorio, condenó las arbitrariedades a las que son sometidos los antiterroristas por el gobierno de Washington.
Igualmente, la escritora destacó la labor de algunos grupos de la asociación para dar a conocer la realidad de Cuba y la situación de Los Cinco, como es el caso de Rock Solidario, que promueve diversas acciones en Canadá.
Además de este proyecto, recibieron el sello conmemorativo la emisora del municipio cabecera provincial Radio Vitral, la Escribanía Dolz, la pintora Yudit Vidal Faife, la escritora Yanetsy Pino Reina, y la Historiadora de la Ciudad, María Antonieta Jiménez Margolles.
Carlos Sotolongo, Juan Eduardo Bernal Echemendía y Julio Neira, quienes fueran presidentes del movimiento en etapas anteriores, merecieron también el agasajo de sus 120 miembros en Sancti Spíritus.
